Around 40 rotractors students participated in this.These young Rotractors only will be ruling this world and defenitely have a passion towards the upliftment of our nation.Kudos to all rotractors all over the world. Project : World Rotaract week Rotary Club Chennai Bharathi was indeed very happy to take part and give an awareness session on breast cancer early diagnosis and treatment to around 50 students morning session 10 am to 1130 pm on 13-03-2019. Thank you letter got from Rotaract club of Queen Mary's college was a great honor for our club. *Prevention is better than cure* We are indeed delighted and grateful to thank *Rtn. Dr. Renuka Ramakrishnan* for finding her valuable time for us despite her busy schedule. She started to address the Students by citing her own experiences with LEPROSY Patients, Her passion towards social works and slowly drove the students to the _World of Cancer_ Her noticeable words about Breast Cancer and the simple methodologies she advocated to detect the same at the early stage to the students has a deep impact. The session was not only about Breast Cancer and ways to identify cancer but also she helped the students to get to know the underlying threats and issues that it would result in. It was thoroughly a great morning which was entirely interactive and highly informative.

Project : Polio Eradication Rotary Club Chennai Bharathi RI DT 3232 happy to take part in End polio campaign on 10/03/2019 in 2 different places one in Chennai our allocated place by our District and done by our RCCB Directors and Second one since I was in my village Thenmadhimangalam ,TVM District I made it a point I too particicipate in this Progm in village.

Mega project :GIVING VISION IS THE GREATEST MISSION Rotary Club Chennai Bharathi INTER DISTRICT RI 3232 AND RI 3230 conducted mega eye camp along with Thiruvanamalai blind association ,Aravind eye hospital , Pondicherry and our sister club President,secretary ,and all board members from RC Moon city TVM for joining and taking part in Thenmadhimangalam village in TVM DT for 8 villages on 09/03/2019 in Govt school ,Thenmadhimangalam.Thanks to Subam Palani for organising this great event and my husband Natesan Ramakrishnan Director, Mangalam Charitable trust a nonprofit organization donated on behalf of Rotary club Chennai Bharathi for providing 500 packets of food,water etc for these poor people.I We could witness the true suffering of poor people without proper vision .This eye camp benfeciaries were 410 registered cases who were screened from basic eye testing to seen by opthalmologist Drs and everything regd eye was done and issued spectacles also free of cost.75 people had cataract and referred for surgery and 60 people were taken in a van by Aravind eye hospital for cataract surgery.Remaining 15 are under follow up. First time ever meticulosly planned eye camp very successful.One boy who was an orphan had developmental cataract was taken up for surgery. Planning to adopt him for his education, etc ... Thanks to the volunteers from Madhimangalam village, Govt school Scouts and guide students .

Again an unique project with Govt Girl children rally in Govt corporation Girls higher secondary School ,Amanjikarai on 27/02/2019 .170 students participated went around Thiruvika park with placards ,shouting slogans against early child marriage etc importance of girl child education. Taking an oath of not killing girl child and gifts were given to about 500 mothers who had girl children.

Rotary Club Chennai Bharathi Wins Progm in Panchayat school earlier 125 students benefitted. Wins was also done in Sevasadan school by our during RYLA 48 students benefitted done by our WINS chairman Rajeswari Thiyagarajan. Various other schools also we did .

Rotary Club Chennai Bharathi was very happy to be a part of Inaugural function of Mahalakshmi womens college of arts and science ,Avadi ,NSS NOT ME BUT YOU ,GOLDEN JUBILEE YEAR 1969 -2019 .Was very happy to be a part of this unique initiative in a village Govt High school in Koladi village Thiruverkadu.Started with a green sapling plantation as usual. Chief guest Dr.Bhaskaran NSS COORDINATOR ,MADRAS UNIVERSITY gave a motivating speech to 100 students,Principal Dr Bhuma also have a great speech and was interested in becoming our Rotaract club.I have promised we will do the needful. We spoke also about ODF village concept and WINS Progm also. I also spoke about importanance of girl education,safety etc MOTHER TONGUE DAY TAMIL DAY was celerated in a grand manner.The Govt school was so we'll maintained thanks to the principal Ida SelvaranI mam. Students were very attentive and they will stay back one week in that village and give us a survey report .

World Leprosy Day is observed around the world on the last Sunday of January, every year. The day was initiated in 1954 by French philanthropist and writer, Raoul Follereau as a way to raise global awareness about leprosy. In India, this occasion is celebrated as 'Anti-Leprosy Day' on January 30 to coincide with the Martyrdom Day of Mahatma Gandhi who passed away on that day in 1948. Gandhi worked tirelessly to help people affected by leprosy

We members with heavy heavy heart but with smiles in our faces kept games,singing competition and gave sweets etc and also prizes. Always take care of your parents youngsters u have no Idea what they are going through We were indeed happy to see Awareness India Movement Vetri Vel and members also joined us and he honoured us.

Rotary Club Chennai Bharathi takes immense pleasure in taking part as a speaker in this event on 24/1/19 in St Peters school,Royapuram BETI BACHAO BETI PADHAVO scheme and celeberated girl child day by speaking about the importance of Women Empowerment and how to save girl child ,from education to various other measures .How Only a girl children are the future of India to become a developed nation .More than 7000 women got benefitted it was an interactive session. Their was asignatire campaign on a big board about save a girl child . All of us took a bath also to save girl child.Chief guests were Mrs Saroja Minister of social welfare,Mr Jaikumar Fisheries Minister can,Mrsuthavalli Commissioner for social welfare,Our Chennai Collector and From TNadu health department. A day we'll spent to save a girl child.

Mega Road Safety Awareness by Rotary Club Chennai Bharathia long with more than 100 school children starting of the event with a special band which was very impressive and made all passers by turn and see what was happening.Children with placards indicating the importance of Road safety and our esteemed Rotary members went on to the road and told people who were not wearing helmet ,seatbelt etc the importance of life and other road safety Awareness on 22/01/2018 in Vysarpadi junction chief guest ACP ,Inspector ,Indian red Cross society Secretary Selvanathan our own RtnRavichandran ,Chair for road safety also participated with great enthusiasm. Many were having helmets in the bike but did not wear were advised to wear. We also made the chief guests to give certificates to all the participants thanking them for participating in ROAD SAFETY AWARENESS BY ROTARY CLUB CHENNAI BHARATHI. We also gave Saplings to guests and people who followed traffic rules and pasted smiley stickers who followed traffic rules to people .

SCAW (Sleeping children around the world ) by Rotary club of Ambatur this 33 rd year we from Rotary Club Chennai Bharathi take immense pleasure in taking part in this well organized , humanitarian act for economically weaker section children helped by Foreigners from Canada year after year a great dedication. I could feel the great and big heart they had when they gave away the kits for these children. Kit had all things needed s for a child on 20/01/2019 venue was Sindhi model senior secondary school. Thank you Vasanthi Ranganathan mam and RCA for giving us this opportunity . Indeed we are indebted to all . This ongoing SCAW Project is the best of it's kind and a unique way of reaching out the poor children. From the desk of Rotary club if Ambatur We have been distributing 6000 + kits every year during January partnering with SCAW Canada. Due to the good offices of Rtn. Ravishankar and the SCAW team, 7000 kits allotted to us for distribution this year. RCA has decided that the additional kits need to be distributed in the clubs in our own district. Rotary Club Chennai Bharathi inspired to take part in 2 different events conducted by our Director of Community development Rtn Rtn-Dr Banu Priya Nehru with road side people on 15/01/19 in Panthope railway school old age road side people where brought,given bath and put new dress ,pongal panai ,karumbu etc and given vegtable Ilai sadam ,vadai,payasam etc.We could see and feel the happiness they felt . Second Project :16th January in Chepet govt school. Took part in Pongal celebration with road side people and orphans children new dresses were given and celberated with great pleasure by our Rtn-Dr D Arul Raj Director Blood and organ donation.Lots of games also were kept and it was indeed an memorable event.

Most awaited event of every Rotary club Rotary Youth Leadership Awards "RYLA "(2018-19 ) by Rotary Club Chennai Bharathi was conducted on 12th January, 2019 on Saturday jam packed sessions from 8 am to 5 pm , at the Madras Seva Sadan School, Harrington Road, Chetpet. Twenty students each from the Seva sadan and Pananthope Railway Colony schools participated with great zeal . Our vibrant and dynamic President Rtn Dr. Renuka Ramakrishnan,PP Rtn Sheela Mukund, IPP Rtn Suguna Devi Muthuvel, RYLA Director and trustee Rtn Mangala Jayachandran, Rtn.Rajeshwari, Rtn. Geetha ,Rtn Shruti Nair Reddy our PE,Rtn Shilpa Seewoo Menon whose passion is writting and has written already 2 famous Novels and she also spoke about the dreams of a person and how it can become a passion . Headmistress Mrs. Uma Maheshwari and Assistan Headmistress. Mrs. Parimala and Pananthope govt school Headmaster Mr.Palaniappun were present at the session.The function started off with the demonstration of ‘Pranayama’, which is the necessity of every student today as they are bogged down and stressed out with their studies. The students were treated to a very healthy breakfast after Pranayama. The formal inauguration was flagged off by the planting of saplings by our Chief Guest Rtn.Murali Rao,( Addl Chairman RYLA) Guest ofHonour, Mr. Justin Antony Member UN International Youth Council, CEO Knowledge Foundation . They were joined by Rtn. Rajesh, Mr. Rajesh from Anna University. Rtn. Murali Rao gave a very inspiring speech to the students and the Guest of Honour who is a Guiness book of record holder for holding the longest speech in Tamil. He was at his best managing to convey his message in a short time! Rtn. Rao spoke about Swami Vivekananada’s vision as his birthday was on the 12th of January which is also observed as the National Youth Day. Mrs. Umamaheshwari also stressed about the noble ideals of Swami Vivekananda and our former President Abdul Kalam in her speech to the students. The next session was on Team building my Sujitha Samuel an educationist. PP.Rtn. Sheela Mukund, CEO Children’s World School introduced the concept of Multiple Intelligence, IPP Suguna Devi M, CEO, Vee 4 you presented a session on ‘Smart Goals’.Rtn Geetha Deivasigamani a writer by profession Spoke on Nutrition and distributed booklets on easy recipes written by her. Before the lunch break Rtn Rajeswari Thiyagarajan ex Principal of Lady Willington school presented the ‘WINS’ programme with a power point presentation and demonstration. The students enthusiastically washed their hands and were ready for lunch! They were treated to a sumptuous lunch which they thoroughly relished! Post lunch the students were exposed once again to a power packed session involving Value education by Chitrakarthik Director Value Education for India, Rtn Jayashree Kidambi,our club Secretary ,a Special Educator gave them a respite from the heavy sessions by entertaining them with some games. A session on Spelling strategies was conducted by Rtn.Mangala Jayachandran, Special Educator and Psychologist. Dr.Renuka Ramakrishnan, our President and who is also a Dermotologist and Trichologist conducted a free skin camp for the students and teachers accompanying them. The finale was were the students had an opportunity to unwind themselves with a free style dancing set to the tunes of some popular Tamil songs. One could see the inherent talents of these children by observing them dance as they had no formal training but danced in perfect rhythm! The Rotarians and the teaching faculty too joined in the mela! After the heavy dancing session they had hot Keera Vadai and tea as afternoon snacks. All good things have to have an end…We had the valedictory function where the students gave us their valuable feed back. All of them unanimously agreed that they have not experienced such a nice time before. They stated that all the sessions were very useful and enriching and will help them to face their future with confidence. Chief Guest Rtn.Murali Rao graciously attended the valedictory function again and distributed the participating certificates. Our They were also presented with a jute bag, notebook and pen for each one of them. The Sevasadan estate manager Mr.Susai gave them saplings of button roses as a contribution from his side. On the whole it was a memorable and enjoyable day not only for the students but also for the members of Chennai Bharathi. The students dispersed after singing the National Anthem.

The event started as a Evergreen Environment friendly project of Rotary Club Chennai Bharathi with Tree plantation ,Tamizhthai vazhthu , Lighting of kuthuvilaku and followed by welcome speech by Rtn Dr Renuka Ramakrishnan and Our Chief Guest was our own Rtn Omprakash Seeba Director - Youth Service - RI District 3232 who gave an encouraging and motivating speech to the young Rotaractors and then he collared the Incoming Rotaract President and other committee members were inducted .Following which the President of Rotarct gave an exemplary speech about Rotary and the founder Rtn Paul Harris which was impressive. The Principal of this esteemed institution Dr.M.Venkataraman a very knowledgeable down to earth person gave a speech which was applauded by all.

ARUTPERUNJOTHI Thiru Arutprakasam Vallar 196 th Birthday celebration in Kovilambakkam Rotary Club Chennai Bharathi participated in renowned conference conducted every year on 06/01/2019 conducted in a very big way IAS Sagayam sir had also participated early morning. Was happy to see so many children of God benefitting from the progm felt the positive vibration of everyone in that hall and had lunch with all of them and proceeded to conduct an awareness session on Importance of life, parents, spoke about methods of hand wash and personal hygiene . Finally did a free health camp for them 48 students were benefittedand free medicines were given.Gave evening snacks for them which made them smile and happy from Rotary club of Chennai Bharathi.

Many NGOs and their Directors were recognized for their untiring efforts during Gaja cyclone by there direct visit to the spot and all the untiring work what they did day and night on Humanitarian grounds and not to miss Drs who did free medical camp 3 times even in the rain from Sri Venkateshwara Homeopathic medical college. Our IPP Rtn Suguna Devi Muthuvel and Mr Raju sir owner of Visalatchi Mahal and myself distributed the awards to them. This is just a small gesture by Rotary club of Chennai Bharathi. "ABLE AND TALENTED CHILDREN OF GOD" PROJECT of Rotary Club Chennai Bharathi went to Physically challenged home near Nungambakkam and spent our day with them for International Day of Persons with Disabilities on 3 December 2018. We were fabercasted by seeing each one of their talents in various fields.Infact they are more abled in there creativity than any one of us . "On this International Day, let us reaffirm our commitment to work together for a better world that is inclusive, equitable and sustainable for everyone, where the rights of people with disabilities are fully realized." — António Guterres, UN Secretary-General It aims to promote the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in all spheres of society and development, and to increase awareness of the situation of persons with disabilities in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life. Gaja cyclone 6th Project FREE MEDICAL CAMP on 1/12/018 today by Rotary Club Chennai Bharathi along with 21 drs from Venkateshwara homeopathic college of medicine Rtn Dr Megha and Dr Vasanth team did in remote villages in, L.PURAM,. ANAVAYAL(PO), PUDUKKOTTAI (DT), ALANGUDI(TK)-622304. Thanks to our community director Rtn Rtn-Dr Banu Priya Nehru who coordinated along with me and all the doctors for doing this noble job along with RC Chennai Bhatathi. 803 Patients were screened and given free medicines and the Drs distributed 250 relief materials for families.

Gaja Cyclone 3rd MEGA PROJECT HELP THE NEEDY IN TIME BYLIGHITING THERE LIVES We from Rotary Club Chennai Bharathi decided to help joining hands together for cyclone relief yesterday 26/11/2018 at Annanagar Towers club .Many sleepless nights and hard work and Donors contributing generously We were lucky enough to Have our DG Rtn Babu Peram as chief guest and My husband Mr Natesan Ramakrishnan MD Precia Molen India Ltd who had donated 1 lakh rupees and other 8 Rotary clubs joined together by contributing 5000 each .Dhavakumar from Precia Molen who donated 10000 and 5000 from senior Rotarion together we Got 1000 solar lamps and today my team went and gave it to RI DT 2981 . Also we donated for 500 families required materials to the needy THROUGH QUICK ACTION FORCE TEAM WORTH 5 LAKHS directly to the remote villages.It is an interdistrict project of RCCB.

Gaja cyclone Day2 Free medical camp with free medicines inspite of Heavy rains did not stop these ever dedicated team of 10 young doctors headed by Rtn Dr Megha from Rotary Club Chennai Bharathi who went to 5 villages near Tanjore DT. They screened an treated 250 patients who came even in that heavy rain. This itself shows that the derth of there basic needs are health camps . Gaja CycloneToday 22/11/2018 Rotary Club Chennai Bharathi sent a team for 1 st day free medical camp with free medcines total 10 senior and junior doctors and 4 volunteers Bhuvanesh Raj went to remote villages Kalathur in Tanjore DT worst affected by Gaja cyclone. Thanks to all Doctors who went and did this noble service. RtnDr Megha Dr Vasanth and team great gesture by all of u. Thank u Rtn Rtn-Dr Banu Priya Nehru our director community service for helping in coordinating this camp. Around 350 patients were screened and treated and given free medicines but also were given with love and care and moral support what they needed the most now. Tomorrow again they will be staying back for next few days and conduct fee camps in near by villages.

"Mazhalai selvangalin Magizhchi" Project by Rotary Club Chennai Bharathiand Aadharv trust celebrated Children's day on 14/11/2018 and gave away things which they needed and also kept various competitions and gave away prizes to the winners in a remote area village Panchayat union middle school Vilangalpattu near cuddalore.Heart warming moments of happiness seen in these children faces. Rotary Club Chennai Bharathi takes pride in taking part in the first ever Interactional RI DT 3232 first Interact school conference on 10/11/2018 In Vidyodaya school Tnagar for the whole day .Very well organized congratulations to the hard working team behind this success.Speech by each and everyone was an eye-opener , motivational for the young minds who are the future of Rotary . 1500 students participated,various competitions were held ,some students who were from poor socio economic background have gone up on stage for the first time.The best part was Bday celebration for November born students with cake cutting great gesture. Rotary club Chennai Bharathi took 2 interact school 25 students from Dr BMS Matriculation school Shenoy nagar and Meenakshi Matriculation higher secondary school ,Annanagar participated and won some prizes too . On the whole a wonderful progm organised by the District.

Project: Sparkling Deepavalli with people close to my heart alwaysfor past 30 yrs.Rotary Club Chennai Bharathi on 4/11/2018 in BalaramapuramLeprosy Rehabilitation center,Villivakkam. We from Chennai Bharathi donated 125 kgs of rice to 60 families and celebrated with many other NGO a colourful and meaningful Deepavalli by giving Dresses,crackers etc and food too. Thanks to all of young Volunteers who spent their time made this a memorable fun loving event for the community.Thanks to Donors too.

Special Project by Rotary Club Chennai Bharathi was done on 28 /10/2018 in Anguchetty Palayam near Cuddalore DT. New dresses,Sweets,Crackers and dance were done by our community service director Rtn-Dr Banu Priya Nehru and Director Blood and organ donation Rtn-Dr D Arul Raj and others .These people are the most neglected no basic facilities available. We have adopted that village and ongoing project of Chennai Bharathi. Happiness,enjoyment were all part of this event .More than 120 people were benefitted.I wholeheartedly thank all my young volunteers who made this a memorable one.

Our unique and memorable project Rotary Club Chennai Bharathi takes great pleasure in celebrating and jointly conducing the 3 Rd Tamilnadu State level art and cultural festival for hearing and speech impaired children along with Madras association of deaf today 25/10/2018 called "Magizhula". Students from various districts and schools participated . As I could see the hall was silent but I was looking at them amazed because actually they were talking and enjoying themselves in there own sign language which I was not able to understand. No words to explain as we judged them for various competition from Rangoli ,Fancy dress,painting ,Drawing and Face painting wow was my reaction because they seem to excel in all fields . Rotary Club Chennai Bharathi feels happy to do 2 projects on the same day . Project 1)We started with Environment friendly tree plantation drive to celebrate Dr APJ Abdul Kalam bday which was on 15/10/2018 but we celebrated on 16/10/2018 because wanted to do the go green project by the students of DR BMS Matriculation school,Shenoy nagar and our chief guest Rtn.N.S.Saravanan our District coordinator and our Zone AG Rtn Ravikumar Pb who was unable to come .Dr B.S.Thiruvadanam Secretary and Correspondent of the school along with Principal Jayanthi mam . 2) Project was Interact club Installation ceremony . Chief guest gave an inspiring speech to students which was much appreciated and Dr Thiruvadanam also gave an excellent speech to students and thanked Rotary club of Chennai Bharathi for choosing this school. Later we had installed all office bearers of Interact club by all guests.
